Former India opening batsman Gautam Gambhir, who won two World Cups and scored over 10,000 international runs, announced his retirement from the sport on December 4 after 15 years of international cricket, The near two-decade long stint in the game brought with it a plethora of landmarks and achievements. Having joined KKR in 2011, Gambhir famously led the team to two IPL titles – in 2012 and 2014 – while ending as the tournament's highest run-scorer in a total of three seasons before joining his home side Delhi Daredevils in 2018
