Fiat Chrysler Automotives Korea to face charges for emissions tampering: Ministry of Environment

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Korea could face criminal charges after it was found to have sold vehicles with tampered gas emissions systems.
The Ministry of Environment said it had found FCA Korea had tampered with the exhaust systems on 1-thousand-6-hundred Jeep Renegade vehicles sold from March 2015 March to July 2016 and on 8-hundred Fiat 500X vehicles sold from April 2015 to June 2017.
The government has decided to cancel certification for the sale of these vehicles and could impose a penalty of 3 million US dollars and bring criminal charges against FCA Korea.
