भौम प्रदोष व्रत के दिन भगवान शिव की पूजा की जाती है। इससे जातक के जीवन में मंगल ग्रह के कारण मिलने वाले अशुभ प्रभाव में कमी आती है। अगर मंगलवार के दिन प्रदोष तिथि आती है, तो इसका महत्व अधिक बढ़ जाता है तथा कर्ज से मुक्ति के लिए इस दिन शाम के समय किया गया हनुमान चालीसा का पाठ लाभदायी सिद्ध होता है।
