CNN's Jeremy Diamond reported via Twitter that Sanders said in a statement: "The Russia Witch Hunt Hoax, which is hopefully now nearing an end, is doing very well. Unfortunately, it probably does undermine our relationship with Russia. However, the reason for our canceled meeting was Ukraine. Hopefully, that will be resolved soon so productive conversations can begin." President Trump has also recently wondered when the investigation would come to a close. "When will this illegal Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt, one that has shattered so many innocent lives, ever end-or will it just go on forever? After wasting more than $40,000,000 (is that possible?), it has proven only one thing-there was NO Collusion with Russia. So Ridiculous!" Trump said in a Thursday tweet.
