George Papadopoulos Heading to Prison for 14-Day Sentence Papadopoulos was the first person charged in special counsel Rober Mueller's Russia probe. The 31-year-old pleaded guilty in October 2017 to lying to the FBI as part of Mueller's ongoing probe of Russian interference int he 2016 election. The ex-Trump aide will report to prison Monday to serve a two-week sentence. That's shorter than the six months initially recommended by the special counsel. Papadopoulos will also pay a $9,500 fine, serve 200 hours of community service and remain under supervised release for a year after his release.
