Powerful winds hit China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region blowing down pedestrians and causing power cuts.

Video of the weather, filmed in Urumqi City last Saturday (November 24), shows the strong winds pushing a woman to walk backwards and fall down onto the ground. Several other passersby are seen struggling to walk forward and have to hold poles to help keep balance.

In another clip, the window in a woman’s apartment is blown open and the curtains come loose on the floor, causing a mess in the living room.

According to reports, the local meteorological observatory issued the orange alert (the second strongest) for the wind. A section of the residential communities had power cuts and several trains were also cancelled.
