Protesters pelt stones at the vehicles of security forces in Shopian following, the encounter in Kapran Batagund area which concluded earlier on Sunday. Six terrorists were neutralised and one Army jawan died in action. An Army spokesman had earlier confirmed the killing of only four militants. The operation has ended and security forces have recovered weapons and ammunition from the site of the encounter.Mobile internet services have been suspended in Shopian district as a precautionary measure.
