Indian officials stopped from entering Gurdwara in Pakistan

Indian officials were stopped from entering Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Sahib in Farooqabad. The officials were of the Indian High Commission in Pakistan. The gurdwara administration was upset over the screening of a film in India. They claimed that the film ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ had hurt sentiments of the Sikh community. “We request the officials of the Indian High Commission not to visit any gurdwara without permission of the board as we have to security measures for them,” said the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Secretary Tariq Wazir. The officials visited the gurdwara to take part in festivities related to the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak.
