South Korea's terms of trade index fell to near 4-year low in October: BOK

South Korea's terms of trade fell for the eleventh consecutive month in October,... mainly due to rising oil prices.
According to the Bank of Korea on Friday,.... the country's trade term index last month marked.... 92-point-seven-eight,... an almost nine percent decrease on-year.
The drop means the index,.... which measures the amount of imports a country can purchase per each unit of exports,... is now sitting at an almost four-year low.
The central bank explained that a rise in international oil prices made imports more expensive.
In September,.... Korea's benchmark Dubai crude jumped almost 44 percent on-year.
The export volume index, on the other hand, hit a record high last month, thanks to strong electronic devices exports and extra working days.
