According to Reuters, France has urged Renault to replace CEO Carlos Ghosn after his arrest in Japan on financial misconduct allegations. Ghosn, one of the car industry’s best known leaders, was arrested on Monday after Nissan said he had engaged in wrongdoing at the Japanese firm. Nissan said that for years, Ghosn engaged in personal use of company money and under-reported his earnings. Nissan plans to remove him as chairman on Thursday.
