According to a report by CNN, after the Camp Fire ravaged Northern California, burning over 151,000 acres, heavy rain expected this week threatens to cause flooding, mudslides, and even rivers of debris. The National Weather Service said, "Rainfall that would normally be absorbed will run off extremely quickly after a wildfire, as burned soil can be as water-repellent as pavement.
