Odisha CM seeks 33% reservation for women in assemblies, Parliament

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik moved a resolution in the assembly. He proposed 33% reservation for women in legislative assemblies and Parliament. In an interview to the media, he said “Today is a historic day. The members of the assembly have unanimously passed a resolution giving 33% reservation to women in the assemblies and the Parliament. This will empower the women of our state to a great extent.”
