Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday has decided to stop the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from investigating cases in Bengal, the second state afterChandrababu Naidu’s Andhra Pradesh to prevent the federal agency from operating within their respective state.The move is seen to be triggered by perceptions in the two states ruled by opposition parties who have frequently accused the CBI of acting at the behest of the BJP-led national coalition at the centre.

సీబీఐ.. సెంట్రల్ బ్యూరో ఆఫ్ ఇన్వెస్టిగేషన్. ఇప్పుడు ఈ కేంద్ర విచారణ సంస్థపై ఆయా రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు కన్నెర్ర చేస్తున్నాయి. తమ రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్న కేసుల విచారణను తామే చేసుకుంటామని... సీబీఐకి తమ రాష్ట్ర భూభాగ పరిధిలోని కేసులను విచారణ చేసేందుకు అనుమతి నిరాకరిస్తున్నాయి. ఇందులో భాగంగానే తొలుత ఏపీ సీఎం చంద్రబాబు ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. సీబీఐ తమ రాష్ట్రంలో విచారణ చేపట్టరాదని రహస్యంగా ఏపీ సర్కార్ జీవో విడుదల చేసింది.
