Report: Kelly Had To Mediate Between Melania and Ivanka Trump Over Pictures

White House chief of staff John Kelly reportedly had to act as a mediator between Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump, reports the New York Times.

White House chief of staff John Kelly reportedly had to act as a mediator between Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump after the latter posted a video clip of herself with a black child around the time of first lady's trip to Africa in October.
In a piece about the two women, the New York Times describes a relatively harmonious but independent dynamic between them but adds that "the aides are acutely conscious of possible problems."
In one such instance, Kelly was reportedly dispatched to speak with aides working with the first daughter after the Times says, she had "posted on her Instagram feed a video filmed by the White House team that had a final image of her with a black child during a tour of storm-struck North Carolina."
Sources told the Times the move had come just two days after "the first lady's office had asked West Wing officials to give her some space while she was in Africa so she could showcase the work she was doing."
Though Kelly works with the offices of both women, his relationship with each of them seems to be very different based on other accounts.
In February, Axios reported that "First Lady Melania Trump genuinely supports Kelly and likes him a lot. Thinks he's a pro."
Meanwhile, in September, Vanity Fair claimed, based on an inside source, Ivanka had blamed Kelly on the administration's leaks, telling her father, "he's destroying your presidency."
