Skin Cancer Deaths
Are Rising for Men A new global analysis has revealed
that men are dying more of melanoma,
a form of skin cancer. Male deaths from melanoma have been higher than female deaths in 33 countries for the last three decades. Melanoma has the highest mortality rate among
skin cancers. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun or tanning beds is the leading cause. According to the American Cancer Society, about 5,990 U.S. men and 3,330 U.S. women will die from skin cancer this year.
