U.S. Elections 2018: Democrats take the House of Representatives

WASHINGTON — The Democratic Party won control of the House of Representatives in Tuesday's miderm elections for the first time since 2010.
According to the latest information from political news site and polling data aggregator Real Clear Politics, the Democrats won 28 seats. This put their total number in the House of Representatives at 223. A party needs 218 seats for a majority in the House.
Meanwhile, the Republicans have lost 28 seats and won 198 of the total 435 available.
According to the polling website 270 to Win, the winners of 14 seats that have yet to be declared. Five of those are expected to go to the Republican party. But even if the GOP ends up winning all of them, they still wouldn't be able to keep the House as the Dems already have the majority.
That's bad news for U.S. President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. Previously they had control of the House and the Senate. The latest data from Real Clear Politics says they've held onto the Senate, winning 52 of the upper house's 100 seats.
However, the loss of the House of Representatives will make it harder for Republicans to deliver on their policy agenda.
