Seoul and Washington have different views in some areas, but they're closely coordinating with each other.
That's coming from South Korea's unification minister during today's the parliamentary audit.
He was asked why the two sides have still not started their joint railway inspections slated for late October.
Cho Myoung-gyon... replied... Washington does not oppose the inter-Korean projects, but there are some parts where views differ.
He added the U.S. is being very cooperative... and the allies are continuing discussions.
On whether the two sides would be able to declare an end to the Korean War and if the regime's leader would visit the South, both within this year, the unification minister answered both events are possible.
