President Moon to urge lawmakers this week to approve government's 2019 budget bill
  • 5 years ago
President Moon Jae-in will deliver a speech at the National Assembly on Thursday... to call for a bipartisan support for next year's roughly 412 billion U.S. dollar budget bill.
The government has already submitted the bill to the assembly, but rival parties have yet to see eye-to-eye on the budget, which is nearly ten percent higher than this year's.
This week's budget speech will be the third of its kind by President Moon.
He last addressed lawmakers in June 2017 for the passage of his administration's request for a supplementary budget.
