Reuters reports that the New York Police Department is investigating a suspicious package in Tribeca. CNN reported the package on Thursday. The network aired footage of law enforcement in the New York City neighborhood.
NBC’s New York affiliate reported that the package was similar to ones sent to prominent Democrats earlier this week. It was sent to an address that housed a restaurant owned by actor Robert De Niro. De Niro is active politically and an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump.
