Suspicious Packages Sent to Sen. Cory Booker and James Clapper Intercepted The package addressed to Booker
was "similar in appearance" to the
10 other suspected explosives sent to Democratic and
media figures this week. It was intercepted in
South Florida by the FBI. The NYPD is also investigating a package that was addressed to former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper. Other recipients of suspicious packages
this week include Barack Obama, Bill and
Hillary Clinton, CNN and Robert De Niro, among others. All of the targets have been
criticized by President Donald Trump who has since condemned the apparent mail bombing attempts as "egregious" and "abhorrent."
