Amid feud between the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) top boss Alok Verma and special director Rakesh Asthana, the Cabinet Committee has appointed M Nageswar Rao as interim director of the investigative agency, said an order by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions dated 23 October 2018. Verma and Asthana have been sent on leave.


देश की सबसे बड़ी जांच एजेंसी सीबीआई के बीच चल रही कलह अब सबके सामने है. घूसकांड मुद्दे को लेकर शीर्ष अधिकारियों में चल रही जंग के कारण सीबीआई की किरकरी हो रही है. इस विवाद के बीच सीबीआई के दोनों शीर्ष अधिकारी सीबीआई डायरेक्टर आलोक वर्मा और स्पेशल डायरेक्टर राकेश अस्थाना को छुट्टी पर भेज दिया गया है. इस फैसले को सरकार का इस मुद्दे पर बड़ा एक्शन माना जा रहा है.
