slower than expected in Q2. However, third quarter subscriber additions made up for it. Netflix saw worldwide growth of
6.96 million compared to the projected
5 million subscribers. The company now predicts it will grow by another 9.4 million customers in Q4. The service anticipates most of the new subscribers will come from outside
of the U.S. Starting next year, Netflix will only provide guidance on the number of paid memberships, without including free trials. By 2020 it will stop reporting the numbers on free trials altogether.
