The death toll in Indonesia continues to rise,... now standing at nearly 2-thousand.
According to authorities there.... 1-thousand-9-hundred-fourty-four have died since a 7-point-5 magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit the Sulawesi Island on September 28.
Almost 2-thousand-550 are seriously injured.
Local officials fear... around 5-thousand people could be missing, as over 3-thousand homes were damaged or sucked into deep mud when the tremor caused loose soil to liquefy.
The Indonesian government announced plans to end search operations by Thursday, adding that it was mulling declaring unsearchable devastated areas as mass graves.
