Children risk lives crossing river to reach school in Assam’s Darrang

In a village named Dalgaon in Darrang district of Assam, children risk their lives daily to cross a river connecting to their school. Students of Kachomari Primary School cross the river on banana stems or on shoulders of their parents and teachers. When the children finally reach their school, they again have to cross the waterlogged veranda of the school.
