South Korea: North Korea Wields up to 60 Nuclear Weapons South Korean officials told lawmakers they believe the North has about 20 to 60 nuclear bombs. These are Seoul’s first public remarks revolving around the size of Kim Jong Un’s weapons arsenal. The information was revealed when Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon was responding to a question by a lawmaker. Cho said the information came from intelligence authorities. According to NBC News, the South Korea’s main spy agency didn’t immediately comment. This is leading some to believe Cho unintentionally revealed
the information. Earlier this year, the North negotiated with the U.S. and South Korea about denuclearizing the North Korean peninsula.
