Family finds cobra hiding in hearth in Indian village

A family was shocked to find an adult cobra hiding inside the hearth in their home.

The women of the family which lives in a village in Puri district, Odisha, India, spotted the snake when they were preparing to make a fire to cook their evening meal.

They immediately called Snake helpline volunteers who rushed to their house and rescued the cobra.

The snake was later released in its natural habitat.
