Charlie Fire burns 3,400 acres, sends two to hospital

Firefighters continued to fight the fast-moving Charlie Fire near Castaic, northwest of Los Angeles, on Monday, September 24.

Media reported that day that two people were injured by the fire, and that at least one of them was a firefighter on duty.

The blaze broke out at 2:40 pm on Saturday, spreading quickly and prompting evacuations in the area. Roads in the vicinity were also shut.

Latest figures showed the fire at 3,400 acres with 20% containment. Officials said no structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
