John Bolton: US To Start Fighting Back In Cyberwars

National Security Advisor John Bolton says the U.S. is under attack daily from cyberspace, including attempts to "undermine democracy. And as such, the U.S. will now use offensive as well as defensive cyber strategies to counter that threat. According to Broadcasting Cable, Bolton said Thursday the Administration was committed to preserving "the long-term openness, interoperability and security and reliability of the internet." However, he would not say exactly what that offense would entail. Bolton's remarks came in a briefing with reporters on the Trump Administration's National Cyber Strategy presidential directive, which President Donald Trump has signed off on.
