Dozens Missing After Landslide in Philippine Province of Cebu

At least five people were killed and dozens were missing after a massive landslide buried some 20 houses in Naga City, in the Philippine province of Cebu, on Thursday morning, September 20.Part of a mountain at Sitio Sindulan in the Barangay Tinaan area collapsed due to heavy rain, burying dozens of residents, according to Naga City police chief Roderick Gonzales.A four-year-old child and an elderly woman were among the dead, the authorities said.More than 300 families were evacuated following the landslide.This footage, shared online on September 20, shows the scale of the landslide.The Naga City landslide was the second deadly landslide within a week in the Philippines, after a hillside collapsed onto a mining encampment in Benguet province during Typhoon Mangkhut on Saturday, September 15.
