David was a type of Christ - in the sense that he was an anointed king and prophet appointed by God (but no more so than any of the priests/kings/prophets). But this does not prove that David (or any of priests/kings/prophets) were a type of Christ - in the sense of having experiences similar to Christ or typical of Christ’s states, frames, experiences.
