The family of a hero sailor who died in one of the greatest tragedies of WWII have heard his voice from beyond the grave for the first time in decades after recordings emerged - on eBay.

Robert Terence Grogan, aka Terry, perished alongside 1,415 men when HMS Hood was sunk by the Bismarck during the Battle of the Denmark Strait in 1941. But Terry, a Royal Navy sailor since the 1930s, used to record his voice onto vinyl using specialist equipment and mail them back to his family in the UK.
