According to Amnesty International, hundreds of cases of enforced disappearances have been reported from Pakistan and no one has ever been held accountable for an enforced disappearance in that country. So the question is, isn’t it time the international community paid more attention to Pakistan’s gross excesses and human rights violations of its own people and introduced perhaps some punitive measures? This is a country that claims its heart bleeds for Kashmiris. Fact is many of these enforced disappearances have been reported from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Why doesn’t Pakistan first learn to treat its own people with some humanity and compassion before they talk about Kashmiris?
