Satellite Footage Shows Hurricane Florence Moving Towards North Carolina

Satellite imagery published by the NASA Short-term Prediction Research and Transition (SPoRT) Center shows the eye of Hurricane Florence moving towards North Carolina on the morning of September 12.The US National Weather Service warned residents of North and South Carolina to prepare for the “life-threatening storm.” NASA reported that the maximum sustained winds were at 130 mph.This footage, from the NOAA GOES-East satellite, shows the center of the hurricane approximately 530 miles southeast of Cape Fear.President Donald Trump declared a state of emergency for North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
