Police hunt thugs who stabbed man because 'he was wearing Union Jack T-shirt'

Police are hunting Eastern European thugs who stabbed a company director – because he was wearing a Union Jack T-shirt. Ian Edwards, 52, was walking home after attending a Proms in the Park music concert when he was attacked by four yobs. The gang pointed at his patriotic T-shirt and punched and kicked him repeatedly before one of them stabbed him in the arm. Police are treating the attack as a hate crime after Ian told officers he suspected he was targeted because of what he was wearing.
