Firefighters in Cork City, Ireland, helped rescue a dolphin trapped in branches on the banks of the River Lee on Sunday, September 9.A clip shared to the Cork City Fire Brigade Twitter account shows crew members from Cork’s Anglesea Street freeing the animal after it had swum up the river and become trapped by branches.According to local media, the dolphin was spotted in trouble on Wandesford Quay in Cork City by a passer-by at around 11 pm.“A distressed dolphin that was trapped by branches was successfully rescued by firefighters before heading safely on its way,” Cork City Fire Brigade wrote on Twitter.
