Oil And Natural Gas Companies Cut Production Due To Storm

According to Reuters, US energy companies and port operators in the Gulf region are taking steps to resume production.
Crude oil and natural gas output in the Gulf of Mexico dropped by 9-percent each due to Tropical Storm Gordon.
The storm prompted Exxon Mobil, Chevron, and other companies to evacuate their offshore platforms.
But the storm never coalesced into a hurricane, and weakened into a tropical depression only hours before making landfall near the Alabama-Mississippi border.
