According to Reuters, Baltimore has filed a lawsuit against oil and gas companies for contributing to climate change.
The suit was filed against BP, Chevron, and, Exxon Mobil, and other entities.
Filed in the Baltimore Circuit Court, the suit argues that oil and gas companies knowingly contributed to rising sea levels by burning fossil fuels.
The suit adds those companies should be liable for property damage, economic injuries and impacts to public health associated with climate change.
