Good afternoon, most of the rain clouds have moved out from the Korean peninsula and we can expect some sunshine today. Meanwhile, the very strong 21st typhoon of the season, Typhoon Jebi is expected to come close to the Pacific coast of western Japan this afternoon.

Back here in South Korea, a fair amount of sunshine will boost daily highs to near 30 degrees Celsius in most parts. Most major cities will get up to 29 degrees, Daejeon, Busan and Gyeongju will be a bit warmer.

Temperatures will gradually go down and morning lows will drop to the upper teens by the weekend.
