Luka Modric beats Cristiano Ronaldo, Mohamed Salah to win UEFA Men's Player of the Year

Moving over to sports news now…. Croatian midfielder Luka Modric has been named the Men's Player of the Year by European football's governing body UEFA.
He was crowned at the ceremony for this season's Champions League group stage draw on Thursday.
It follows a year in which he won the Champions League with Real Madrid and helped steer Croatia to the World Cup final for the first time.
He edged out the likes of Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
