Trump Administration Meets With California To Discuss Emission Standards

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, officials from the Trump administration and the California Air Resources Board met to discuss the proposed Safer and Affordable Fuel Efficient Vehicles rule. The SAFE rule freezes national emissions standards between 2020 and 2026, while also revoking California's power to set state emissions rules. The officials agreed to hold future meetings and aim at achieving a national set of fuel economy and greenhouse gas emission standards.
