For 14th straight year, Japan repeats false claim to S. Korea's Dokdo Island

Japan is once again making false claims to South Korea's Dokdo island.
The cabinet has adopted its annual defense white paper which states Tokyo has unresolved territorial issues involving the what it calls "Northern Territories"... and Korea's easternmost islets which it named Takeshima.
Japan has been making the misguided claim in such a manner since 2005.
Seoul's foreign and defense ministries strongly appealed and urged Japan to immediately correct the phrase and stop such distortions.
The foreign ministry also called in the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Japanese Embassy to lodge a formal complaint.
