Japan's Foreign Ministry repeats its false claims over Korea's Dokdo Island

South Korea's foreign ministry has denounced Japan's latest claim to the Dokdo islands, made today,... which it called "unjustifiable"... and said can only slow down efforts to improve ties.
Japan's foreign ministry on Tuesday.... repeated its false claim to Dokdo in its annual foreign policy document,... the "Diplomatic Bluebook."
The Dokdo islands have been effectively controlled by South Korea for decades.
Along with the Dokdo claim, the document also said... that the waters between Korea and Japan, known as the East Sea,... should, under international standards, be called the "Sea of Japan."
Those claims could hurt South Korea-Japan relations, which had appeared to be on the mend with last week's three-way summit with China in Tokyo, the first in years,... and with the two sides' pledge to work together more in dealing with North Korea and other issues.
