PV Sindhu, Saina Nehwal create history at Asian Games 2018

PV Sindhu clinched silver after losing 13-21, 16-21 against World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the women’s badminton singles final at Asian Games 2018. Earlier, Sindhu became the first Indian shuttler to reach the Asian Games badminton finals after defeating Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi. Saina Nehwal claimed the bronze medal after losing to Tai Tzu Ying in the semifinals. Saina Nehwal became the first Indian woman shuttler to claim singles medal at the Asian Games when she went down fighting against World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying 17-21, 14-21 in the other semifinal.
