Hurricane Lane, forecast to make landfall in the state, lashed the Big Island with nearly 20 inches of rain in 24 hours.

This video, shared to Facebook by Carl Okuyama, shows the normally calm and pristine Rainbow Falls raging with floodwaters.

The hurricane was downgraded to a Category 3 storm later in the day.
