Card game bridge debuts at the 2018 Asian Games
  • 6 years ago
The card game bridge has made its debut at the 2018 Asian Games, with over 200 players competing for medals in Indonesia. It's step forward for the venerable game, which is lobbying to be included in the Olympic programme. While the motto in the Olympics is 'faster, higher, and stronger', bridge is all about mastering mathematics, working out probabilities, and psychology. 85 year-old Kong Te Yang of the Philippines is one of the stars of the competition taking place in the Jakarta Convention Centre. The Philippines, China, India, Pakistan and the host nation are competing for medals and a team from Saudi Arabia is participating for the first time in an international competition.
