Teargas, live bullets and arrests rocked the streets of Kampala, Uganda today, as police and the army battled to contain Ugandans protesting arrest of opposition MPs. Among them, musician turned anti-government politician Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. Uganda’s police spokesperson says 45 people have so far been arrested, but the government denied any deliberate beating of protestors.
