Typhoon Rumbia causes heavy damages and flood in China

Typhoon Rumbia has been moving northwest inland since it landed in Pudong New Area of Shanghai Friday, bringing heavy downpours and causing floods along its route. In Mingguang City, the typhoon has caused heavy downpours. The storm has leveled down trees and paralyzed the traffic in some of the roads. The heavy and strong wind has also cut off power supply to the mountainous areas of Anhui Province. In Lu'an City, the power supply to over 50,000 households was halted. The civil affairs department of Anhui Province said that a total of 164,700 people have been adversely affected by typhoon Rumbia, and 2,226 people had been evacuated as of 15:00 Saturday.
