S. Korea's income differential rate among the highest in OECD countries
  • 6 years ago
The growing income gap between South Koreans... is the second biggest in the OECD,... just behind the United States.
According to the latest OECD data, the top 10 percent of Koreans... make 4-point-3 times as much as those in the bottom 10 percent.
That's the second highest -- but the latest data is only available for six out of the 36 member states.
The income gap in South Korea has been growing since the year 2000.
Closing it has been one of the main pledges of President Moon Jae-in, who took office last year.
