South Korea's growth rate was the fifth highest among OECD member nations in the first quarter of this year.
According to OECD data released on Sunday, South Korea's economy expanded one-point-one percent between January and March, ranking behind Latvia, Poland, Hungary and Chile.
South Korea posted the same growth rate as Mexico and Finland.
The average growth rate in the OECD during the cited period was half-a-percent.
The ranking marks a turnaround from the fourth quarter of last year, when South Korea's economy contracted by zero-point-two percent, ranking 34th out of the 35 OECD countries.
