PETA Slams Trump For Using 'Dog' As An Insult In Omarosa Tweet

PETA on Tuesday slammed President Trump for a recent tweet.

PETA on Tuesday made it clear that it does not appreciate President Trump calling Omarosa Manigault-Newman a "dog.' "Mr. President @realDonaldTrump, 'Dog' is not an insult. They are loyal and loving. They make you want to be a better person. You should try it some time. It's always a great time to adopt from a local shelter," PETA wrote in a tweet.   The animal rights organization also shared what appears to be an adopt-a-dog ad specifically made for the president.  It states: "Donald Trump doesn't have a pet. The last president without a pet got impeached. Adopt a dog before it's too late." The tweet that got PETA's attention was posted on Tuesday in an apparent response to the unflattering claims made in Omarosa's book, "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House."  Trump wrote: "When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn't work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!"
